Almost 20 years ago a dream was created… To hold a car show for all those lovers of the hot rods, bikes and road rumbling machines that a boy growing into a man would truly appreciate. This day would be held on no better a day than Fathers Day!
When the car show first started you could look up and down Dayton Street, and it was loaded from Springfield to Dickson Ave with vehicles of all makes and models. There was live music, food and auctions. This event has had such an enormous impact on Kelowna and surrounding areas that it was a must to continue year after year!
Next Show – 2018
We are thrilled to announce our Annual Boyd Autobody & Glass Father’s Day Charity Car Show! This year will be on Sunday June 17th 2018 at City Park in Kelowna from 11am – 4pm. This year we are raising funds for the Child Advocacy Centre. This is a brand new initiative. Their mission is to create a safe child and youth friendly environment that supports children and youth in need, act as their personal and family advocate, change the long-term outcomes and build a stronger community through support and education. With the help from the Kelowna Foundation, RCMP, Interior Health, and the Ministry of Children and Development they will use their impressive momentum to build an establishment that will help children in many ways ranging from therapy (both mental and physical), medical attention, investigations, and more.

Our 2016 Car Show – The Best Ever
This year the show was an even bigger success than ever before! The weather started off a bit rainy, but by 11am we saw floods of people and custom and classic vehicles entering City Park – helping us raise funds for the Angel Awards in support of the Arthritis Society. The event hosted great bands, and amazing cars with some spectacular displays including the Porche Club showing of a range of cars from all different years! The 18th annual car show had many new features, such as a new stage and entertainment rotation including band Rumble 100, and Jada Mckenzie Moore who was the very first Angel Award winner!
In addition, we had a kids fitness and play area put on by the YMCA, and some diverse food options. Just as in years past, the show included a variety of vehicles such as: exotic European cars, imports, luxury vehicles, as well as, a variety of fire trucks and boats.
We’ve crunched the numbers and are extremely proud to announce we were able to donate an impressive $13,243.09 to the Angel Awards in support of the Arthritis Society!
We at Boyd’s would like to give a huge thank you to all of our sponsors, silent auction donators, vendor displays, spectators and especially to all of our volunteers who gave up their weekend to help out a great cause. See you all next year!

Just as in years past, the show included a variety of vehicles such as: exotic European cars, imports, luxury vehicles, side by side and ATVS, as well as pedal bike rentals.
In addition, the show also included some of the old favorites such as: dragsters, race cars, big trucks and power boats. Boyd’s 16th Annual Father’s Day Car Show Another Great Success
This year the show was challenged with a less than excitable weather forecast, however somehow just as in years past, the rain eluded the event all day. In spite of the clouds, this year’s turnout was better than ever. This year’s show had many new features, such as a new stage and entertainment rotation, kids fitness and play area, as well as a large diversified waterfront display. Just as in years past, the show included a variety of vehicles such as: exotic European cars, imports, luxury vehicles, side by side and ATVS, as well as pedal bike rentals and numerous food vendors. In addition the show also included some of the old favourites such as dragsters, race cars, big trucks and power boats. Although financials are not yet finalized, we are very confident we reached our goal of raising $10,000 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research foundation, and are hopeful that we exceeded that by a significant amount. We at Boyd’s would like to give a sincere thank you to all of our sponsors, silent auction donators, vendor displays, and especially to all of our volunteers who gave up their weekend to help out a great cause.
